AN EVENING OF CELTIC and TRADITIONAL AMERICAN MUSIC

WITH DAVID BOWEN and Special Guests Bruce Gartner and Andy Rogers

David Bowen is a veteran multi-instrumental musician and balladeer. His singing and playing have been enjoyed at traditional concert, pub, and festival venues across the United States, Canada, and Ireland. His performances couple a great singing voice with an accomplished instrumental style- he is a two-time medal winner in the prestigious All-Ireland Music Championships. He was joined in these competitions by long-time music partner Bruce Gartner, whose superb mandolin playing is heard on Bowen’s recent CD, Fresh From The Past. Also joining him on his recording and at this concert will be skilled violinist/fiddlerAndy Rogers, whose broad brush talents cover many playing styles, and who has performed with Bowen for over thirty years.  The Back Porch Coffeehouse concert will include traditional ballads and tunes mostly Irish, but with Scottish and old-time American pieces included.
